From Legacy Product to
Market Leader
Build a new product on BW2 while your existing product continues serving customers. Reuse the platform's shared business foundation and develop the functionality specific to your market — with your team or with ours.
De-Risk Your Innovation
Don't bet your company on a single, massive development project. With BW2, you can create a modern, competitive product line in parallel with your existing one.
Offer demanding clients a seamless upgrade path to a modern product built on our platform, without disrupting your existing revenue stream or taking on debt to fund development.
The Data Migration Skill generates the code that moves your customers' data from the legacy product onto the new line — through its APIs or straight from its database.
Focus on Value
We handle the platform, the cloud services and, if you want it, the hosting. Your team focuses exclusively on the industry-specific features your customers love — or ours does, through the Co-Creation Program.
Continuous Innovation
The platform improves continuously underneath you. Your product lives in extenders, separate from the maintained platform core, which reduces the work involved in adopting platform updates.
Unlock New Recurring Revenue
Shift from outdated licenses to a modern, user-based monthly pricing model that creates predictable, scalable income.
Explore illustrative gross subscription revenue using your user count and monthly prices.
These figures show gross subscription revenue, not profit or a sales forecast. They exclude development, support, hosting, usage-based services and any applicable BW2 co-creation share.
Free Under the Elastic License 2.0
BW2 does not charge a per-user platform fee. Your operating costs depend on how you host and support the product. Co-created products follow the funding agreed with BW2 — hourly development, a software revenue share, or a mix.
Grow Without a Per-User Platform Fee
Adding end users does not create a per-user BW2 platform charge. Hosting, service usage, customer support and any applicable co-creation share still affect your costs.
Source Available
Your architects can review what they are betting the product line on, and your developers can debug into platform code — while still consuming it as packages.
Your Installed Base Is Safe
The source ships with the license and your right to run and maintain it never expires, so migrating a legacy customer base onto BW2 never becomes a bet on our survival.
Customize Without Forking Your Product
Tailor the application to industry verticals and individual customer workflows in code — through extenders that live outside your product's core. Per-customer logic, fields and UI stay cleanly separated from the maintained core, reducing the work involved in adopting updates of your product and of the platform.
Say yes to more customer requests without breeding variants: one product line, many tailored deployments — and tailored implementations become service revenue instead of maintenance debt.
MHM PSuite for Service Providers
This product runs on the current generation of BW2, not the platform launching in 2027.
Automating the complete server infrastructure of complex ISPs. Used by Green.ch among others, PSuite leverages the BW2 platform to streamline operations from customer acquisition to billing on a single, robust system.
Building on the BW2 platform allows us to focus on creating industry-specific value, knowing that the underlying architecture is scalable, secure, and robust.
Integrated OSS/BSS
A unified view of contracts, services, and communication history. The system integrates billing and invoicing to minimize errors and improve cash flow.
Automated Provisioning
Automating the entire order-to-activation process. PSuite orchestrates necessary technical steps from sign-up to activation, significantly reducing time-to-service.
Scalable Foundation
Leveraging the BW2 framework ensures reliability and security. This allows for seamless integration with other systems and the flexibility to adapt to evolving market needs.
With Your Team, or With Ours
The core is the same either way. The only question is who writes the code of your new product line.
Build With Your Team
Your developers build and maintain your product on BW2. You retain your product revenue without a platform royalty or revenue share.
- You manage product development, sales and customer support.
- Your brand, product IP and customer relationships remain yours.
- Hosting, Management Tools and applicable service charges are separate.
In Manual Mode, discovery is free for up to 1,000 production databases per solution. Above that allowance, a flat license is agreed with the publisher — never per user. Non-production databases and databases covered by Managed Hosting or Management Tools do not count.

BW2 builds and maintains the product. You contribute product knowledge, market access, sales and customer support. How the engineering is funded is agreed per project.
- Development billed by the hour, funded by BW2 in return for a share of software revenue, or a mix — agreed before work begins.
- Your brand, product IP and customer relationships remain yours.
- Where a revenue share applies, it reflects the product's revenue potential and BW2's estimated engineering effort.
Products provided free of charge to their users are typically partner-funded — by the hour or at a separately agreed fixed fee.
Thinking About Your Next Chapter?
Whichever way you build it, the new product is an asset you own outright — modern technology and recurring revenue. That matters the day succession or a sale comes up. A legacy product is hard to sell: its knowledge sits with a few developers, and every buyer prices in the work it takes to keep up with the competition. A product on BW2 is a different offer: current technology, a maintained core, a documented platform any .NET team can pick up — and a buyer who takes over a business, not a rescue project.
