Skills that teach AI
to build solutions on BW2.

BW2 will ship a set of skills for Claude and other AI coding tools — packages of instructions that tell the tool how the platform actually works.

The Skill Set

A skill is a package of instructions and tools you add to your AI coding tool. It teaches the tool how BW2 actually works, so the AI does not have to guess — it creates code that follows our best practices.

Specification Skill

Turns a rough requirement into a specification written against BW2's own best practices — the object model, the platform's patterns and the conventions an experienced BW2 developer would apply anyway. What you review is a spec, not a pile of generated code.

Solution Skill

Takes the approved specification and implements the complete solution against it — so what gets built is what you signed off on, not what the model inferred along the way.

Component Skills

One skill per platform component, so each one is generated the way the platform expects. A list board, for example: columns, filters, actions and the object model behind them — instead of an approximation a developer has to correct by hand.

Data Migration Skill

Generates the code that moves data out of the system you are replacing — a partner's legacy product, or the ERP a reseller is converting away from. It works from the source system's APIs or directly against its database, and maps what it finds onto the BW2 object model.

Demo Data Skill

Generates high-quality demo data tuned to your customer segment — accounts, projects, orders and invoices that tell one coherent story — so your product demos with data your prospects recognize, not placeholder records.

Why This Works Better on BW2

Generic code generation has to invent everything, and visual platforms give an AI tool nothing to read. BW2 gives it code, a narrow target and a terse API.

Everything Is Code

Solutions on BW2 — customizations included — are plain code. No proprietary layout strings, no binary designer artifacts, nothing an AI tool has to reverse-engineer first. Reading and writing code is precisely what these tools are good at — and it is what a low-code platform cannot offer, because its designer artifacts are not code in the first place.

An API Built for Little Code

The platform API is designed to do a great deal in very few lines. Less code to write means less surface to get wrong — and a result a human reviewer can still read in one sitting.

A Platform Is a Smaller Target

The object model, the permissions and the history are already defined. That narrows the space of correct answers dramatically — and makes a wrong one easy to detect instead of plausible-looking.

The Source Is Readable

Under the Elastic License 2.0 the platform source comes with the license. A tool that can read the platform it is building on is in a very different position from one working against a closed box.

What It Changes, and for Whom

The same skills, different economics — depending on what you sell.

Software vendors

Build your product faster with the same team — with the migration code and the demo data generated alongside it.

Software Vendors

Software factories

Your economics are hours per delivery. Precise generation moves that number without moving your headcount.

Custom Software Factories

Experts and leaders

Spec first means the thing you know — the requirements — is the deliverable that drives the build.
